Grandma Visit

Brendan's Grandma was down for a visit last weekend from Haslett, MI. We had a wonderful relaxing weekend with her help entertaining Brendan. Rich and I did some furniture shopping and ordered a new desk for the office. It was so much quicker to shop without Brendan in tow. Brendan had a wonderful time showing Grandma how to play with all his toys. We all hope she visits again soon :)

"Talking"

This was a big weekend for Brendan, he spoke his first "words" by repeating "da-da", although his mom would have preferred "ma-ma". Brendan is sick again with his 2nd cold and ear infection since he started daycare a month ago...and his parents are trying to stay healthy also!!!

This Saturday Morning when I put Brendan down for his morning nap, Rich and I peaked in to find him standing in his crib and looking calmly out the window. I ran to get the camera and as you can see he caught me taking his picture. I wonder what he was thinking about, he seemed so content.

Ash Wednesday

We took Brendan to mass for Ash Wednesday and he got his first ashes. They are a little of center on his forehead, he wasn't very still and kept grabing the man's hand doing the ashes. But as you can see, he was pretty happy for the evening, especially after eating cheerios throughout the service :)

9 Month Baby Check-up

Brendan had his 9 month well baby check up yesterday day. He continues to be healthy and we continue to love his doctor, Dr. Bob Evans. He weighs 22lb 8 oz (80 percentile), is 30 inches long (90 percentile), and his head is 19 inches (off the charts and in line with his big head parents :) He is also getting 2 more teeth on the top, so we expect # 5 and #6 to be through the gum soon.

Brendan is Always Standing

Brendan has finished his 3rd week of daycare and is doing great adjusting to his new schedule. He loves to stand and as you can see is getting pretty good at it (and no longer needs help from Mommy or Daddy). He has an ear infection right now, a result of the cold he caught at daycare, but is in good spirits overall. Rich started his new role Friday at work and we should see a significant decrease in his travel, Yahoo!
